Websites are on physical servers that each have a unique IP address (eg 123.124.125.126). Because all those IP addresses are difficult to remember, domain names are linked to them (eg yourdomain.be).
The Top Level Domain (TLD), also called extension, is the last part of the domain name. The extension can indicate a geographic location or an application (e.g. shop, boutique, bike, etc.). At Solitweb you can choose from more than 500 extensions.
Today there are an unlimited number of websites, each with its own domain name. To claim your unique place on the worldwide web, you have to choose a non-existent domain name, a name that no one uses yet. Time to register it! Is the domain name of your choice not available after all? Then think of a variant of the domain name or choose a different extension.
To transfer a domain name, you must make the domain available for transfer at the current registrar – the company where the domain name is currently registered. You will receive a transfer code from that registrar that you will need from us to transfer your domain name.
How much it costs depends on the desired extension. When checking and registering the domain name, the system automatically indicates how much the domain in question will cost.
You register a domain name for 1 year each time. We automatically renew your domains (you can change this in your personal customer panel). That way, your domain name will never be unreachable if you forget to renew it.
